Carol Mielczarek was a natural from the minute she picked up a bowling ball.

A local legend on area lanes, Mielczarek will be honoured Oct. 17 as one of six new inductees to the Wind-sor/Essex County Sports Hall of Fame dinner at the Caboto Club.

"I'm very thankful," the 55-year-old Mielczarek said. "It's a great honour."

Mielczarek piled up a long list of accomplishments in three decades in the sport.
